Topher Stephens was born and raised in the mountains of Jackson County, NC and has spent decades exploring and guiding groups to our mountain peaks, waterfalls, birding hotspots, and wildlife tracking mudflats. With a background in biology, mindfulness, eco-psychology, and nature-based mentoring Topher brings an infectious passion and deep reverence for the natural world into his programs and tours. He teaches courses in birding, wildlife track & sign, mindfulness, music, hand-crafts and earth skills. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder and has guided naturalist tours and backpacking expeditions to Southeast Asia, Central & South America, the Himalayas, South Pacific, Kilimanjaro, and throughout the US.
