Nature-inspired Poetry and Songwriting @ Black Balsam, Pisgah Forest

THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO RAIN IN FORECAST. STAY TUNED FOR UPDATED EVENT DETAILS.

Harnessing the power of community and inspiration from the natural world, we will come together in this beautiful Southern Applachian forest to craft poems, songs, or whatever other form of creative writing you choose.

No experience in writing or music is necessary, beginners are welcome!

Using simple techniques and fun activities we will demystify the poetry and songwriting processes- approaching each step with playfulness, encouragement, and affirmation. Our process will be guided by mindfulness-based nature-connection activities, solo writing prompts, and optional collaboration with other participants.

Bring your favorite writing utensil and notebook as well as any camp-chair, pad, or picnic blanket you’d need to feel comfortable. If you are interested in songwriting, also please bring your instrument of choice.

This event is free but donations of $10-30 per person are encouraged. All donations go directly to the facilitators.

Please use this link to register for this workshop to receive the specific meeting location and carpool details (no payment needed to register).
